“Today is the day we get our epals’ names,” said Mrs. Pound. “I can’t wait!” Abby said. Epals are people you may not know but you get to know them when you send them emails. Our epals live in Bezannes, France in Europe. We can connect with them when we use our mini laptops, but the problem is that they are just getting their laptops. They have fantastic French names. Here are some of their names Meryem, Marianne, Ilyes, and Florent. We sent our emails last week. We can’t wait for them to write us back!!!

We are also sending our voice recordings to our epals on a photo story to Bezzanes, France. All of our classroom is so excited to have our epals. We can’t wait till they write back on the internet. We love having epals in Bezzanes, France so much that we would like to visit Bezzanes, France one day! Wouldn’t you????

“It’s time to write to our epals class!” said Mrs. Pound. Everybody was so excited! Yeah !!! Maddie and Kendell, our official tech assistants, got out the laptops. We’re using the epals.com website to write French epals from Bezannes, France!!! It’s so fun! They have cool French names like Quitterie, Margaux, and Octave. On November 12, 2010 we started and on the 17 we sent our very first letter. First we wrote our rough drafts. Then we typed our final drafts on our class laptops. Finally we sent our first letter this week.

Have you ever written to someone you never ever seen? We are! We are writing to French epals in Bezannes, France. The French language has unusual sounds but is so interesting to study. It’s very fun to type on computers and send our emails in a split second. SNAP! Just like that! Every one in our class has their own epal, but Amelie and Michelle. We both have two epals. Our eplas in Bezannes, France are just getting computers so it may take a while to write back to us. We are writing to them in French and they answer us in English. Bezannes , France is a very small town, not to far from Paris and the Eiffel Tower. The first time we wrote to them they were very short letters. Now we are just waiting for them to write back. I think they will be very nice emails when they write back. It’s the beginning of a whole new and amazing friendship!
